God of War Sprouts Wings

Funny story on this piece. The client wanted to just pay $50 for the image prep to have some whack-ass tattoo party scratcher to do it because it would be half of what I was charging. I told him to come back when it was done so I could laugh at him which I really would. Just a note people, it's very, very offensive as well as crass to ask one tattoo artist to draw something up for another (less talented) artist to do it because it's cheaper.  IT WILL NOT COME OUT LIKE YOU WANT! Remember: Good tattoos aint cheap and cheap tattoos aint good. Period.

Latest, Newest

The latest piece using the Sky design process. This kid's name was Lioniuos (different, huh?) so of course he wanted 'Heart of a Lion." This is what we came up with which includes a framable copy of the pencil drawing. To see what the Sky design Process is, check the last post. Hit me on Face Book to make YOUR appointment.

My Tattoo Process

So you're thinking about finally getting that arm piece, but not quite sure how to get that idea from your head to your skin. Well, this is my process for bringing to fruition that unique, original, never before seen piece.

First, there is the CONSULTATION where I get all the pieces of your idea out of your head and onto the paper. Once all the components have been identified, the LINE DRAWING is developed and sent to the client via email or phone text once finished. Then, a COMPREHENSIVE shaded (or colored) version is presented in the studio to the client for approval. After the client catches their breath from the anticipation of getting an amazing piece, you're ready for the FINAL DESIGN EXECUTION.

After the tattoo session, the client is presented with an aftercare kit and a 'frame ready' copy of the comp drawing, a firm handshake and a pound (after payment has been received).

Please keep in mind, that you are making an investment in art for your body. This will be with you until you die, unless you spend large amounts of $ to get it removed. Therefore, you must be willing to invest no less than $500 for a custom piece such as this for top quality.

Freedom of Expression

Spoken Word Symbol

Lately, I've been hearing a buzz about this symbol which has been circulating around the country and perhaps even the world on posters, flyers, blogs, and even money. For those who don't know the meaning, or who are unfamiliar, here's the knowledge. Originally, this symbol was part of a record store graf mural which included words and characters. Using the comic strip 'talk bubble," I wanted to have one of the characters stating something, but with no idea what. So, I dropped in an asterisk ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asterisk ) to represent what HE might say. Thus, the birth of the symbol I now use to represent Freedom of Expression: your right to be you regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ect.

Since the symbol's inception, I've encouraged any and everyone to use this symbol in anyway they see fit EXCEPT for capitol gain as it is protected. My hope is that one day this symbol will be among many of the world's most recognized symbols such as the heart, peace, smiley face, question mark, and the cross.

Please feel free to drag and drop as a wall paper, in photographs or whatever. If you would like to receive a special promo pac which includes stickers, temp tattoos, and information on upcoming products and events, you can either leave your info and comments in my FaceBook message box.

Until next time, Live Easy, Love Hard, and always, always "Do You," na'meen?
