Greetings All,
It's been a long time since I've updated, so no better time than now. This Summer, I'll be offering special offers on the pieces posted here. If you are an avid tattoo enthusiast, then you know the value of what I'm offering. I am willing to charge a reduced price or take it back to barter, for trade of a service I may need such as, video editing, cyber store set-up, and art supplies. Or you can make me an offer.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Full Circle
Well, folks another Summer is upon us if we can just get through all this strange Spring weather.
As some of you may have heard, I quit tattooing. Well, not exactly. I really just stepped back from inkin' the public and focused on deciding what I really want to do with my (tattooing) art in addition to drawing and painting.
Of all the disciplins of art I work in, tattooing is the most recent (started in '03). It's what's allowed me to live in NY without working at McDonalds while I pursue a career as a painter and illustrator. Initially, tattooing was only meant to keep the lights on. I never really had any aspirations to do much more with it. It wasn't until working at One Stroke in Queens that I really started loving the art of tattooing.
Unfortunately, since the shop closed a few years back, it's been a major challenge finding another spot that reignites that flame for me. After being on staff at shops all over the city (Bklyn Ink, Ring Leaders, Archer Ink, Think Before You Ink, and even my own shop with a friend in the BX), not really finding a comfortable fit, I've decided to do what I said I did not want to do and thas run my own shop.
Sooo, this Summer I'm converting a spare room into a tattoo studio and opening my own private (appointment only) studio in Brooklyn, where I live. No more 3 hr/day trips way out of reach of my valued BK clients. Now, my (VIP) Clients can relax in a comfortable plush environment with all the amenities of home while receiving top notch work, and treatment from a world class artist.
However, my minimum is now $200. This is so that the less serious tattoo enthusiast is discouraged from wasting my time and their's. I can make individual considerations, for individual cases, though. I still offer home visits and tattoo parties for those interested.
I look forward to a fantastic Summer as I hope you are as well, and maybe we'll meet on the beach or ball court one day showing off nice ink.
Take care of yourselves, folks.

First Round Draft Pick
Let's take it back to day, 6 months before I started inkin', when the prospect of tattooing and my first machine was presented to me by man, Twig Sparks (Hart & Huntington, Inked), who said I could make a killing doing flash with way the I draw. However, it wasn't until 8 years later, I finally got inspired to pursue my fortune as a flash artist as well as tattooist.
With that being said, Two years ago I introduced my first two volumes of flash entitled, "Black Book: Images form the Urban. Vol. 1 & 2, which featured in Urban Ink last year and was the best seller at Unimax Tattoo Supply (Canal St. New York) last Summer. So, if you didn't get a chance to purchase from me, you can get individual pieces (over 40) from Tattoo Johnny from my page.
Or, you can still order Vol. 2 online from me, but once they're gone, I may not print any more. The good news is, is that I'm working on a collection just for the ladies entitled "Something for the Ladies."
So, stay tuned, folks.
Asap Rocky Album Release Review.
Well, today is the long awaited release of Asap Rocky's "Long Live ASAP" As somebody just introduced to his music, I can't really give an in depth review of what I think so here's an article of what the LA Times thinks.
Also, as part of my ongoing Celebrity Amalgamations Series I had to rep Harlem with this Asap Rocky /Micheal Jackson Thriller Werewolf combo.
